Who we are

Brackish Books ("we", "us") operates the financial planning and operations platform at brackishbooks.org. We build software for small commercial aquaculture and agriculture businesses.

What we collect

• Account information: email and display name when you create an account.
• Operational data you enter: products, pricing, enterprise budgets, cash-flow plans, sales, expenses, and similar records.
• Usage data: page views and basic browser/device info used to diagnose issues. We do not sell this data.
• Diagnostics: error reports and feedback you submit through the in-app feedback tool.

How we use it

• To operate the platform — sign you in and process the records you create.
• To improve the product (aggregated analytics, bug triage).
• To respond to support requests and account-related communications.

How we store and protect it

Data is stored on Lovable Cloud (managed Postgres + storage) with row-level security enforced per workspace. All traffic is served over HTTPS.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers we depend on to run the service, and with third-party services you explicitly connect.

Cookies and tracking

We use a first-party session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your account data or deletion of your account at any time by emailing the address below.

Children

The platform is intended for use by adults operating commercial farm and harvest operations. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will post material changes to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
